Backstage – The Murano Glass Museum
One day at the Murano Glass Museum: backstage
We had been honoured to show the Nastro masterpiece of Andromeda by Tobia Scarpa at the Museum. A sacred place: it is the ambition number one to be in those rooms for a glass maker.
Being an antique palace, untouchable, we could not just fix it on the ceiling, so we had to think about a special structure to hold it up.
Of course, we could not help ourselves but to ask for the genius of Architect Scarpa to give us a lead to create a self standing structure for the Nastro.
We are please to share with our followers the backstage experience as well as the beautiful Scarpa's sketches.
Hope you may enjoy this short show, and the Nastro is still at the Museum as permanent installation for those that will have the chance to visit Murano, the Museum and Andromeda.
